Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about getting access, working through your learning path, saving progress, and completing modules with mentor sign-off.
1. How do I get access to the Learning Portal?
Go to learn.axlhub.com and sign in with your AXLhub Microsoft account. When you sign in for the first time, an administrator may need to activate your profile and assign the appropriate learning paths to you.
2. Why does my account say that it is awaiting approval?
New learner accounts must be approved by a portal administrator. Until your account is activated, you cannot access the learning content. If the message remains for longer than expected, contact your mentor or portal administrator.
3. Why is a learning path locked?
Learning paths are assigned individually. A locked path means it has not yet been assigned to your account, even if your account is active. Ask your mentor or portal administrator whether the path should be added to your profile.
4. Which learning paths are available?
The portal currently offers learning paths for SharePoint, Power Platform, Office 365 Administration, Python, and Copilot Studio.
5. Do I need to complete the modules in order?
We recommend completing modules in their displayed order because later topics often build on earlier ones. Your mentor may agree a different focus or sequence with you based on your experience and development goals.
6. How is my progress saved?
When you are signed in, your module statuses, dates, notes, review submissions, and mentor sign-offs are saved to your portal account and are available across devices. Make sure you are signed in before recording important progress.
7. What do the module statuses mean?
- Not started — you have not begun the module.
- In progress — you are actively working on it.
- Complete — you believe you have met all the module requirements.
- Blocked — you need help before you can continue.
Setting a module to Complete does not replace mentor approval.
8. What should I do if I am blocked?
Set the module status to Blocked and add a note explaining what is preventing you from continuing. Then contact your mentor and include enough detail for them to understand what you have already tried.
9. What is the starting profile, and can I change it later?
The starting profile records your experience, target role, preferred specialisations, and the type of mentor support that would help you. It is used to make your learning recommendations more relevant. You can review and update it later from your profile.
10. Can the starting profile remove modules from my learning path?
No. Your answers may influence recommendations and areas of focus, but they do not automatically complete, remove, or skip required learning. Any change to the expected path should be agreed with your mentor.
11. How do I complete a module?
Work through the learning objectives, resources, and hands-on lab, then check that every item in the Done when… section is true. Update your progress, add any useful notes, and submit the module for mentor review.
12. How do I request mentor sign-off?
Open the module and select Submit for mentor review in the progress panel. Your mentor can then review the work, approve it, or request changes. A module is formally signed off only when the review status shows Approved.
13. What happens if my mentor requests changes?
Read the mentor’s comments, update your work, and record any relevant notes in the module. When the requested changes are complete, submit the module for review again.
14. Where should I complete the hands-on labs?
Use the sandbox or learning environment provided for your path. Never use client or production environments unless an authorised activity explicitly requires it. Use synthetic data only, and ask your mentor before making tenant-wide, destructive, or difficult-to-reverse changes.
15. Who should I contact if something is missing or not working?
For questions about learning content, assignments, lab expectations, or sign-off, contact your mentor. For account approval, missing path access, incorrect profile information, or technical portal problems, contact a portal administrator. Include the page or module name and a short description of what happened.
